Intentful vs Intentional
Because most businesses are built partly by accident.
Too often, decisions are made accidentally or on the fly with limited information or forethought. Once made, the decision becomes part of the organisational DNA, is difficult to reverse or modify and often times aren’t revisited at all until a few years down the line when it’s well embedded and change is painful.
So, a word of advice:
Intentional is being aware that we’re making a choice.
Intentful is taking a particular choice, from a range of options, with the aim of achieving a specific outcome/state of affairs. I.e., “we are doing [X thing] because of [specific reasons] with the intent of achieving [very specific Y] as a result.”
Be intentful with your decisions. Start with the end in mind.
