Hey I’m Sean. This newsletter is about getting businesses from where they’re at to where they need to be.

If you’re making part of a business better - this newsletter is for you.

Alternatively, if you are banging your head against the wall, shouting into the void, trying to get everyone rowing in the same direction, or have a vague suspicion that things should just be easier - this newsletter is for you, too.

If you’re not sure - start here. If you’re convinced, sign up here.

Every Tuesday I have lunch with someone new. I’ve met well over 200 people through the internet in the last 7 years, many of whom I talk to frequently. You can send a message to sean ( at ) infinitenuance.com or reach out here.

Who am I?

I’m a mid-career manager with a background in financial markets. I led a product team at a tech start-up before moving into my current role as a problem solver at a large corporation.

From time to time, I take on special projects; previous clients include a top-tier law firm, a publicly listed asset manager, and a shareholder activist campaign.

Me

When I first became a manager, I found that the literature was directionally correct, but too high-level to be applicable. There were few case studies, and nobody really drilled down into the day-to-day of getting parts of a business to work.

A well-run business is a huge social benefit. Work gets easier, there are more opportunities, customers get a better service, profits grow, employees earn more and get promoted, and everybody wins.

Yet - every business decision has trade-offs, often under externally imposed and / or unfair constraints. This newsletter is about all of these things.
